Has it ever happened to you? You create a Passle post and share it to LinkedIn, only to see that the featured image is a bit fuzzy or perhaps only showing in part. You update and replace it and try to share again, but LinkedIn is still showing you the old version (or a small grey octopus - this is Clive).
This happens because LinkedIn caches the preview that is first generated when the link was shared. LinkedIn, Twitter and Facebook use cache, because it reduces the average cost (time or energy) to access data, but it can be annoying when it impacts your beautiful posts.
So what to do? Luckily, there is a quick fix. Simply:
- Alter the image on your post
- Go to: https://www.linkedin.com/post-inspector
- Input Post url into the box and Inspect
- You can now go ahead and share your post with the correct image
